  • Ventilated walls
Multi-layer cladding system for the walls of existing or newly built buildings, applied dry and consisting of a waterproof outer finishing layer (made of ceramic or engineering-ceramic slabs, aluminium, steel or PVC panels, etc.), an intermediate insulating layer applied directly to the existing wall and a metal structure anchored to the load-bearing structure of the building. A gap is created between the insulating layer and the outer cladding. Due to the "chimney effect ", natural ventilation is activated inside the gap, contributing towards controlling the flow of energy passing through the wall.
  • Ventilation
Circulation of air between two different areas (generally between out-of-doors and indoors). It may be natural of mechanical. In the case of ventilated walls it is natural and takes place due to the chimney effect caused inside the air gap created between the cladding and the structure of the building.
