  • LCA
    The now widely used term LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) was created at the SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) Congress in 1990 in Vermont (USA), to characterise more precisely the tests that until then had been carried out under the name of REPA. Based on the definition provided by SETAC (in 1993), Life Cycle Assessment is an objective procedure for evaluating the energy and environmental loads referred to a product, process or activity.   • Layer of homogeneous material
    Layer of material in which the magnitude of the largest unevennesses does not exceed one fifth of the thickness of the layer.
  • Length
    The longest linear dimension of the largest surface of the specimen
